Saint Francis LIFE programs offer comprehensive, quality care for seniors, as a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). We worked closely with Saint Francis Health (SFH) for the design of the 27,400 SF PACE Program in Wilmington, DE .
SFH completed and long-term lease in a Commercial Retail center that has been revitalizing itself as a mixed-use center. R2A & R2I designed the 27,400 SF in a former clothing retail store. The project was completed on schedule and on budget. The facility provides the members home like spaces and rooms to spend the day in the company and care of peers and professional healthcare providers. The spaces include living rooms, recreational rooms, Physical Therapy Rooms, dining rooms, and a worship chapel. Key to this project’s success is a complete ambulatory center within the footprint to provide the members with assistance in administering their medications, examining the members to help them maintain their health, and to educate the members on improving their health.
The facility was designed with food service and culinary support spaces, outdoor gardens designed to complement the interior adjacent spaces in a home like setting, and activity as well as library/quiet rooms. We researched and specified all of the furniture and artwork.
